Affordable before and after school childcare

B.A.S.E. (Before and After School Experience), the district’s latchkey program, provides an affordable, supervised program for students enrolled at Helke, Demmitt, and Smith.

BASE offers the convenience of before and after school care right at Helke Elementary School, Demmitt Elementary School, and Smith Middle School. Experienced staff members provide students with a variety of planned activities, special projects and enrichment opportunities. The program runs from August 19, 2014 -- May 28, 2015, at the following times:

Helke and Demmitt: 6:30 to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Smith: 6:30 - 8:30 a.m. and 3:15 - 6:00 p.m. (Tuesday only: 6:30 - 8:50 a.m.)

Registration

Students must be registered in the program to participate. You can register:

  • At the scheduled Forms and Fees time at your child's school
  • At your child's open house on Monday, August 18
  • At Aviator BASE Camp at Smith between 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.

Pricing (2014-2015 School Year)

Registration Fee:  $20.00 per family
Full Time (AM and PM)  $65.00
Before School (AM Only)  $42.50
After School (PM Only)  $42.50
Each Additional Child in Family  $40.00 AM and PM
   $27.50 AM or PM

Emergency/Drop-In* Fees

Drop-ins are being accepted for a.m. only.

$15.00/Visit AM

Each Additional Child in Family $10.00/Visit AM

 

*Students who do not attend regularly during the week are considered "drop-in."

Fees must be paid on Monday for the week unless another arrangement is approved by the program supervisor. Payment may be made by check, cash, or money order.

Checks should be made payable to the name of your child’s school and B.A.S.E (for example: Demmitt/B.A.S.E)
