Musical Groups Have Busy Week

Vandalia-Butler City Schools

It's been a busy week for Morton's musical groups with holiday concerts and public appearances.

The Morton Bell Choir performed Sunday at the City of Vandalia Christmas Tree Lighting to rave reviews.

Here's what City of Vandalia Parks and Recreation Director Steve Clark said about these talented youngsters:

"Your group of young adults did an outstanding job representing Morton Middle School with their performance as well as behavior.  Attendees truly enjoyed the candle lighting and singing of Silent Night led by the Bell Choir students.  The performance by the Bell Choir in the gymnasium was excellent and enjoyed by those waiting to visit with Santa as well as others in attendance.  You should be proud of this group of students.  Please pass along my gratitude to these young men and women."

The group also performed at the Tuesday, Dec. 8 meeting of the Noon Optimists.
