BASE Business is open for just that...business. Or at least it was Tuesday, Dec. 8, as students in the after school program created products to "sell" at their own stores.
The children were divided into groups. As a team, they decided on what products to sell, their prices, marketing and packaging, as well as handled customer service.
Invited guests and parents were given $5 in BASE bucks to spend at the various stores. After their shopping experience, each customer rated the stores on price, appearance, quality of product and customer service. The companies who received the highest markets were then honored for their work.
The various companies included: Butler BASE Treats, The Spirit Store and More, The Little Dipper, Surprise and Browniz.
Through the project, students were able to work on math skills, problem solving skills and team work.
