Butler High School senior Jenna Albezreh was recently named Dayton LaSertoma International Youth Service Award recipient for outstanding volunteer and service activities. Jenna founded TIPS (Teens Inventing Peaceful Solutions) in 2015. She spoke on behalf of TIPS at the International Network of Museums for Peace in Belfast, Ireland. Jenna also volunteers as a Youth Coordinator at the Dayton Mercy Society, the Dayton International Peace Museum, and the Islamic Society of North America. She is also a planning committee member for TEDx Youth Dayton and a tennis trainer for children ages 4-7 at QuickStart Tennis. At Butler, Jenna is the Student Body President, a member of the varsity tennis team, a member of MUSE, Planeteers, Spanish Club, JCOWA, the Drama Club, co-founder of the Debate Club, Academic Challenge, and Student Congress. Jenna plans to further her education at either Harvard University or the University of California-Berkeley.
